INSURANCE
Water Polo Australia Ltd (WPA) has trusted World Wide Sports Insurance to handle insurance matters for WPA, its affiliated State Associations, Clubs and Members.
The National Insurance program includes the following Insurances:
Public & Products Liability
WPA Public Liability Insurance covers all affiliated clubs and Associations, and this includes all members, coaches, umpires, officials, first aid personnel, administrators and voluntary workers of the clubs and associations.
Water Polo Queensland's Certificate of Currency is available from the office upon request.
Personal Accident
WPA Personal Accident Insurance covers all affiliated clubs and Associations, and this includes all members, coaches, umpires, officials, first aid personnel, administrators and voluntary workers of the clubs and associations. (the Insured)
Cover applies in the following situations:
- Playing in official matches
- Engaged in organised training or practice sessions for Water Polo
- Traveling directly between activities in 1 or 2 above and the person’s normal place of residence or place of employment
- Staying away from your residence during a tour for the purpose of participating in representative matches and/or other games of the Insured
- Engaging in administrative or organised social activities of the Insured
To be covered by the WPA Insurance policy you need to be registered to an affiliated club or association within your state. Insurance is included as part of your annual fees to WPA, for more information on what is included in your National fees please see our fact sheet.
